Lower the grade boundaries for AQA GCSE: French Listening 2016

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

All students who studied GCSE French for two years were hit with a shocking paper containing topics including: 'Selfies' and 'E Cigarettes', both of which was not taught on the syllabus. We request the grade boundaries are lowered for these specific reasons.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We cannot accept your petition because the UK Government or Parliament is not responsible for the issue you raise. Grade boundaries are set by exam boards. Exam boards are regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), which regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England.

You can make a complaint to Ofqual about the organisations it regulates, including complaining about grade boundaries set by individual exam boards. Further information about how to complain is available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/ofqual/about/complaints-procedure.
