We want to stop event organisers charging 'booking fees' added to every ticket

What the petition asks
It has become normal for event organisers to charge a 'booking fee' to every transaction and usually added to the face value of every ticket. This is not a booking fee and does not reflect any cost incurred by the event organiser in selling tickets.
Booking fees may have stemmed from third-party sales of event tickets but are now charged by event organisers themselves, as a way of hiking the face value of tickets. The event organiser does not incur any additional cost in selling tickets - this is the normal course of their business, and the equivalent of a supermarket charging a 'shopping fee.'
