What the petition asks
Current law prevents expatriates who have been 'ordinarily non resident' - as defined by HMRC - from voting in any U.K. election.
This inspite of the fact that a vast majority are expatriates due to employment, family or health reasons. They are also required to submit U.K. tax returns.
