What the petition asks
We want to ensure the optimum trading terms for Britain are negotiated by competent negotiators who are without a pro EU bias.
The persons selected can be of any political persuasion (cross party) but must be verified as non EU supporter.
The persons selected can be of any political persuasion (cross party) but must be verified as non EU supporter.
The Government has chosen to support the Remain in the EU and therefore cannot be trusted to negotiate our future relationship with their friends in the EU.
It is imperative that competent non pro EU negotiators work on negotiations that are open, transparent and subsequently approved by the British people.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure whether your petition is asking for Nigel Farage and other UKIP members to lead the negotiations (as in the title of the petition), or for the negotiations to be carried out by a cross-party group (as in the text of the petition).
