Make photo ID mandatory before being allowed to vote in Elections & Referendums

Closed 50 signatures

What the petition asks

Production of photo ID should be mandatory when voting in Elections and Referendums.
There have been many cases of electoral fraud through personation.
People have turned up to vote only to be turned away because someone has already voted using their name.
It's time this ceased.
Oldham is one of the worst places in the country for electoral fraud.
Only a few years ago, Oldham was 8th in the country for electoral fraud.
Recently, there were 4 cases of personation.
It is time that production of photo ID was made mandatory for all Elections and Referendums.
This would prevent cases of personation and go some way to creating confidence in our democratic process.
It is time that the production of photo ID was made mandatory in polling stations before anyone can vote.
