What the petition asks
Passive smoking is becoming a serious health issue, specifically in urban area. Every morning, thousands of non-smokers have to face passive smoking while going to work as other people smoke on footpaths and walkways. A large number of people do not use designated smoking zones.
A quick look at this article from Cancer Research UK will tell us how dangerous passive smoking can be - http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/causes-of-cancer/smoking-and-cancer/passive-smoking
Unwanted passive smoking on the streets of major UK cities is causing health issues that are not very easy to detect in early stages. Overall, passive smoking is affecting the health of non-smokers living or working in urban areas in a significant way.
