Prevent current and former politicians from being allowed to attend Bilderberg

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Paraliment is the forum for public debate not behind closed doors with no press access and no notes. Bilderberg creates an impression that the real decisions are being made outside of public scrutiny. This is not good for transparency which is something the UK government are lacking.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The Government and Parliament are not responsible for deciding who can and cannot attend the Bilderburg Conference.

The House of Commons has a Code of Conduct, which MPs must abide by while they are in office. You can read the Code of Conduct here:

http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmcode.htm

You could start a new petition calling for a specific change to the Code.
