Sixth Form's & Colleges should reconsider why students are rejected from bursary

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Central Foundation Sixth Form repetitively rejects students from receiving their bursaries which is needed for overall school resources. Some reasons such as, attendance should not matter whether you receive the bursary or not which is being funded by the government to aid students.
This college is disadvantaging students from low income families that require the bursary for resources. this is supported by the multiple students that have been not receiving their payments. Many students have appealed and have spoken to many teachers regarding this matter however, nothing is being done to resolve this issue.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This is the responsibility of individual colleges and sixth forms. You can find out how to complain about the process on the Government's website:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/16-to-19-bursary-fund-guide-for-2015-to-2016#complaints-or-appeals-about-the-bursary-fund

If you wanted the UK Government to change its guidance for colleges and sixth forms on allocating the 16 to 19 bursary fund, we could accept a petition on that.
