What the petition asks
I was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Depression in 2009, since then I have regularly been a service user of several UK mental health services.
I have found the long waiting times and lack of information very distressing and feel that UK mental health services need improving.
I have found the long waiting times and lack of information very distressing and feel that UK mental health services need improving.
I am sure I am not alone when I say that the long waiting times (often several weeks) for professional help can make life extremely difficult and have a negative impact on an already distressing mental health condition.
It is estimated that 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem, I feel therefore that the mental health services in the UK need more funding for more trained staff and better mental health facilities.
