Make Banks legally obliged to pay a proper interest rate to elderly
Rejected
12 signatures
What the petition asks
Banks move customers with eg ISAs down to a peppercorn rate of interest if they ever are not notified to put the investment into a new account.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
It's not clear what you mean by "a proper rate of interest". You could start a new petition calling for banks to be required to notify their customers before their money is moved to an account with a lower interest rate.
