Make June 23rd UK Independence day an official public Holiday

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

With the U.K Recently voting out of the EU and regaining our sovereignty and self goverment without the interference from Brussels,
We think it should be celebrated as a future public holiday, as a celebration.
Forever known as June 23rd UK Independence Day.
The UK recently regaining their independence from the EU is something we should celebrate in years to come as UK Independence Day.

As The United States do, gaining independence from the british empire; we should celebrate and recognise this day as ours.
