Hold a vote of MP's before leaving the EU

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

Referendums in the UK are not legally binding. The decision on BREXIT involves many complex economic factors and the referendum has been fraught with political scaremongering, inflated immigration claims, and many outright fallacies. Please hold an MPs vote to save the UK from economic suicide.
Referendums in the UK are not legally binding without additional government legislation so Cameron is under no obligation to invoke Art50 of the Lisbon Treaty following the referendum results.

Please put this important decision to a vote of MPs where expert evidence can be called and the best decision can be made for the UK, rather than one based on immigration fearmongering (theindependent.co.uk). Our economy is already being negatively affected (BBC News) and to leave could spell disaster.
