Petition · past parliament

A General Election rather than the new PM being the new Conservative leader.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

In light of the referendum result and Cameron's resignation, we should have a general election. The post-EU government should be chosen by the people, rather than just by the party when they choose a new leader. This is especially true because of how close the result was.
