Petition · past parliament
The government should call a general election TODAY in light of the referendum
Rejected
12 signatures
What the petition asks
It is undemocratic to see a new Prime Minister in place after following a party leadership contest. A large proportion voted to remain in the EU and the current representation of MPs in the UK Parliament does not represent this view. A General Election must therefore be called immediately.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
