Do not leave the EU - there is an insufficient mandate to do so

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

The issue of whether the UK should remain in the EU is the most important that has faced this country for decades.

The referendum is not legally binding.

Only 37% of the population voted to leave. The government should decide not to invoke Article 50 because this is an insufficient mandate.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
