What the petition asks
As a member of the British military fortunate enough to have served overseas I have, like many other personnel, married someone who is a citizen of the EU with a European passport. With the recent decision to leave the EU, guidance will be needed by personnel on how this will affect their families.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition calling for spouses of current and former British military personnel to be entitled to British citizenship, if that is what you would like to happen.
