Call a referendum of Londoners asking if they wish to be independent from the UK

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Londoners voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU and therefore Londoners should be given the opportunity to vote leave the UK and become an independent city state.
London has a diverse culture and is different from the rest of the UK, politically, economically and culturally.
London has a population larger than many independent countries.
There are several examples of very successful city states.
As an independent country London would be viable and have a large prosperous economy.
It already has the political structures to enable a transfer of sovereignty.
It is clearly culturally different from the rest of the united kingdom.
There is a growing divergence between London and the rest of the UK and this would benefit both London and the rest of the UK
