What the petition asks

The "leave" vote has been achieved with a small majority of those voting, many of whom have been protesting the years of cuts and austerity and it appears to be dangerously divisive between generations. No law requires the government to follow the referendum result without consideration

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
