Make the study of the British Political System a compulsory Subject in Schools.

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

Too many of us rely on basic, if not underwhelming knowledge of the British Political System. The study of politics should be compulsory if we are to raise an educated electorate, that will turn out to vote under the assumption that they have a democratic right to be represented when laws are made.
The freedom to abstain from voting is a fundamental element of our democracy. However, the freedom to make an INFORMED choice will help our children make decisions that are based on a comprehension of how things actually work.
