Hold a general election after the Conservative party elects a new leader.

What the petition asks
The EU referendum has fundamentally changed the UK's position in the world, in a way that the present Prime Minister neither intended nor foresaw. Before the next government makes any significant decisions it should face the electorate and get approval for its programme.
There are no post-Brexit plans and it would be undemocratic if a new unelected government were allowed to spend the next four years shaping the UK's new role.
