What the petition asks

The recent referendum on EU membership is not legally binding. Large numbers of votes were cast only as an ill-informed or even frivolous protest at the current state of the country, without regard for the true consequences. There is evidence of leave voters now having changed their minds.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Ask the Government not to invoke article 50 of the Lisbon treaty.
