What the petition asks
Leaving the EU removes individuals' EU citizenship. Only 37.5% of the electorate voted to leave. This does not give a mandate to remove citizenship from those who voted remain or did not vote. Consequently people should be able to individually decide which they retain, EU or UK citizenship.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
