Introduce a new written UK Constitution
Closed

What the petition asks
In the wake of the UK's imminent exit from the EU, we need a written Constitution at this time of uncertainty to shape the relationship between the citizens and the state. We need a written Constitution that reflects the values of a modern society that is tolerant, pluralistic and multicultural.
The immediate legal consequences of leaving the EU are far-reaching and uncertain for fundamental rights of UK citizens. We need a set of ground rules that we understand and which respect our fundamental rights and freedoms in matters of employment law, property, housing, healthcare, education, children and access to courts. The drafting of a new UK Constitution should not be delayed.
