Petition · past parliament
A people's vote of no confidence in Parliament.
Rejected
18 signatures
What the petition asks
The referendum result was not a reflection of the majority view of the population of the U.K. nor does the government now have a mandate to represent the people.
Please refer to the percentage majority of the EU vote versus the overall referendum turn out. This is not representative of the population of the U.K. and safeguards for a lawful majority should have been instilled in the passing of the referendum by Parliament.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
