Restore parliamentary democracy to the UK after the EU referendum

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

It was a mistake to call a referendum upon a matter so complex as membership of the EU. However, there is no legal compulsion for Parliament to implement its conclusion. Any legislation to depart the EU, or any triggering of Article 50 should be put to a free vote of Parliament.
