What the petition asks
Following the result of the EU referendum voters have expressed their desire to change their vote from Leave to Remain without understanding the question at hand. As the result was so close (a difference of 1,269,501) - they should be allowed to revise or revoke their vote as it was cast in error.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
If you would like there to be a second referendum, you could sign this petition:
Call for a second EU referendum as the first did not have a clear mandate.
