What the petition asks
We the undersigned call upon HM Government to reject any passing of the 'EU Referendum Rules triggering a 2nd EU Referendum' petition, as it stands against the democratic value of the original referendum, as well as the value of choice by the United Kingdom's electorates.
The choice of the people has been for an In/Out referendum, and this was reflected via the result of the 2015 general election where the Conservative Party won a majority, after promising an EU referendum if they secured another term.
Also reflected by the gain in popularity of UKIP, and their increase of votes received between the 2010 and 2015 elections where they earned a total of 12.6% of the electorates 2015 vote, compared to the 3.1% in 2010.
