Article 50 not to be triggered until after 2nd EU Referendum including 16+
Rejected
19 signatures
What the petition asks
The 16+ age group were excluded from the EU Referendum, but incl. in the Scottish Referendum. Legally entitled to be parents themselves, and with 75% of their peers voting to stay in the EU, they must have a right to decide their own futures, not have it skewed by the 65+ age group.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The EU referendum has already taken place. It is therefore no longer possible for the franchise (the groups of people who are entitled to vote) to be changed.
