What the petition asks
A decision was made that 16/17 year olds would not be allowed to vote in the EU membership referendum on the grounds of cost. This age group will bear "Brexit" yet have been refused a chance to vote. They should be given their own referendum and the numbers added to the existing vote.
16/17 year olds were allowed to vote in the Scottish referendum. This is arguably a more important vote and yet consistency has not been maintained. It is vital this group's voice be heard and added to the vote.
