What the petition asks
On the 8th May 2015, in line with the general election the government amended the policies surrounding transparency; although the public are presented with documentation surrounding items such as finances and resources, we are not presented with a public forum to hold our parliament to account.
It is the aim of this petition to ensure the creation of public forums at which local MPs and various government officials can be held responsible for their actions, ensuring faith from the british public in tueir leaders and implementing a direction that is truly 'United'.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
