Make it a criminal offence for politicians to deceive British voters

What the petition asks

Some of the data presented by campaigning politicians during the EU referendum campaign was deliberately misleading or false. The use of false or misleading statements when promoting a product, can lead to prosecution. Similar criminal sanctions should apply to politicians

Why it was rejected
