What the petition asks
There is a modern trend in politics for MPs and their representatives to spout fabricated information as if it were fact, which can have a resonant (but groundless) effect on the audience. In order to maintain credibility the government must actively oppose the "post-truth" era.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
