Implement a cooling-off period to allow a change of EU vote

What the petition asks
In the aftermath of the EU Referendum it has become apparent many Brexit voters believe they were insufficiently informed and regret voting to exit the EU. In the interests of democracy the Government should implement a cooling-off period to allow Brexit voters to change their vote to Remain.
If more than 634,751 Brexit voters give notice they wish to change to a Remain vote, the Government should refrain from initiating Article 50 of the 2009 Lisbon Treaty and a Parliamentary Joint Committee should be set up to advise the government on measures it should take to address the polarised views of the electorate on EU membership.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Voting in the UK is anonymous. It is not therefore clear how anyone could verify the original vote of anyone giving notice in the way described by the petition.
