Petition · past parliament
Allow a second EU Referendum with 16+ voting age.

What the petition asks
Britain has voted to leave the EU. Or has it? The fact is that the changes this causes will affect people in the distant future. The next generation. Having a vote without 16/17 year olds is ridiculous, as it is their future it will affect.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The EU referendum has already taken place. It is therefore no longer possible for the franchise (the groups of people who are entitled to vote) to be changed.
