What the petition asks
David Lammy MP for Tottenham has today said that the result from the EU referendum should be ignored. This man is an elected representative, he is now saying that the democratic will of the people should be ignored. This is well below the standard that I would expect of a MP.

Mr Lammy MP should explain himself to the British people why he as an elected representative feels the result of the democratic EU referendum should now be ignored. Would he have liked it if the result of the general election which he benefited from was ignored.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
It would be for Mr Lammy himself to decide whether to explain his position in Parliament.
