Encourage David Cameron to reconsider his resignation
Rejected
18 signatures
What the petition asks
DC has resigned, understandably, because he feels he has failed. However, if failure means we quit, what message does this give to future generations? David Cameron is the most experienced individual to lead our country in light of the Brexit vote. He may have failed, but now is his time to lead.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
The resignation of an individual Minister, including the Prime Minister, is not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole. It is a decision for the individual concerned. The UK Government or Parliament cannot stop a Minister resigning.
