What the petition asks
The situation where ex-pats have resided outside the UK for more than 15 years is undemocratic and unfair.
The decision to bar ex-pats from a democratic vote that can severely affect their lives is one which must not be tolerated.
The decision to bar ex-pats from a democratic vote that can severely affect their lives is one which must not be tolerated.
Due to the closeness of the result, and having spoken to several people who either never received their papers or papers that were in fact sent to old UK addresses I feel that it this result should be declared void and the British people, no matter where they live or for how long should have their say.
