An Ethics committee to prevent politicians and parties misrepresenting facts
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
Politicians and parties in debates around the EU referendum have consistently misrepresented facts for personal and political gain. Those we elect we place our trust to act within reason and responsibly. There should be personal and professional ramifications when found to be acting otherwise.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
