What the petition asks
As MP David Lammy stated, the referendum is non-binding. Given that the population was lied to about one of the biggest decisions of their lives (e.g. regarding the true cost of EU membership) and given how close the result was, the decision should be left to the well-informed members of Parliament.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
