Brexit negotiations must be led by a cross-party body.

What the petition asks
The outcome of Brexit negotiations will determine the UK's place in the world for years to come, way beyond the lifetime of the current Parliament. Therefore, negotiations must be conducted by a body that represents a broad range of political opinions and beliefs.
Vote share and turnout for the 2015 General Election obtained from the BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election/2015/results) shows that the current Government was supported by less than 25% of the UK electorate. Given the huge importance of Brexit, and the divisive nature of the referendum campaign, it is vital that negotiations are led by a body that reflects the breadth of political opinion across all nations and regions of the UK.
