What the petition asks
In 2014, there were 1,534,192 16- and 17-year-olds in the UK.
Give them the right to vote on their own future.
Give them the right to vote on their own future.
I'm shocked about the referendum vote to leave the EU. I'm not convinced people have made a truly informed decision. My biggest concern is for the future of our children and young people. As a mother of a 13 and 17 year old who are both able to make their own decisions and want to influence their own futures, I feel obliged to ask the people to support this petition. Thank you.
