Make websites and social media accounts glamorizing anorexia a criminal offense.

What the petition asks

The number of people with eating disorders is currently rising at an estimate of 7% a year largely due to social media and the extent of material promoting eating disorders. Consequently I feel that by increasing controls we can reduce the number of people developing this potentially deadly disease.
Often individuals creating these inappropriate accounts and websites do not realize the extent of the impact of their actions and the devastating affects it has on many people's lives. Eating disorders can ruin people's lives, destroy relationships; hospitalize people and ultimately kill them and I strongly believe it is something that needs tackling now before the problem becomes any greater.
