Parliament to vote whether to enact article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty

What the petition asks
Parliament is the supreme body of the UK. The referendum result shows a divided nation on the question of EU membership and Parliament should vote on whether to act on the result.
The UK is a Parliamentary democracy and it is Parliament alone that expresses the will of the people. The referendum result did not produce a pluraty of votes in favour and a significant percentage of the population did not or could not cast their vote.
