What the petition asks
Referenda are not mandatory on Government and Parliament. The country's elected representatives are elected to govern taking into account all factors and using their judgement as to what is best for the citizens of the country.
Only 37% of the electorate voted to leave and such a major decision affecting the country should not be resultant on anything less than a majority vote of the electorate.
