Call a general election once a new leader of the Conservative Party is chosen

What the petition asks

In light of the unprecedented situation the UK is in after the EU referendum, and given the fact that the next election is not scheduled until 2020, no new Tory leader will have democratic legitimacy to be Prime Minister without a fresh general election.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

A change in prime minister should trigger a general election.
