What the petition asks
In 2014, Scotland took part in what we were told was a 'once in a generation' referendum on independence. 55% of Scotland voted to remain as part of the UK.

Due to the results of the EU Referendum, Sturgeon feels that Scotland would like another referendum. In 2014, when we voted to remain in the UK, we voted to take part in national votes. The EU Referendum was a national vote not a vote for Scotland.
