Grant citizenship to EU citizens living in the UK since before the referendum

What the petition asks
Many EU citizens living in the UK are fearful for the future after the "Brexit" vote. These are our friends, neighbours, classmates and colleagues, and they deserve assurances that their rights and interests will be protected. Grant UK citizenship or indefinite leave to remain to all who apply.
Grant automatic British citizenship to all EU or EEA citizens who apply for it, and who have been resident in the UK since before the referendum. For those who do not wish to become British citizens (for example, due to restrictions on dual citizenship) grant indefinite leave to remain.
