What the petition asks

Now that the referendum has been completed with record turnout, any MP who disregards the will of the Electorate is unfit to keep office.
They must be forced to resign and a by election held immediately.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for removing MPs from office because of their views or opinions, and whether or not to resign is a matter for the individual MP.
