What the petition asks
The resignation of the leader of the elected government and his subsequent replacement does not have a mandate from the British electorate. Article 50 should only be invoked by a government with a leader elected in a general election.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
