What the petition asks
Recent events have clearly shown that politicians from all parties do not understand the views and requirements of the voting public.
Every MP to hold a monthly public meeting to understand the views and requirements of their constituents. Minutes to be accurately recorded and published.
Only then will the prevailing Government, and their opposition parties, better understand how the public is feeling and take appropriate action.
Only then will the prevailing Government, and their opposition parties, better understand how the public is feeling and take appropriate action.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
It's up to individual MPs to decide how they want to carry out their constituency duties.
